Homemade Hash Browns


INGREDIENTS:
* 2 medium Russet potatoes, washed and peeled
* 4 eggs
* ½ teaspoon sea salt
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* 1½ tablespoons Australian canola oil
* ¼ cup cheese, grated
* Cooking spray

PREP TIME: 25 minutes COOK
TIME: 20 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
* 2 medium Russet potatoes, washed and peeled
* ½ teaspoon sea salt
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* 1½ tablespoons Australian canola oil
* Cooking spray
DIRECTIONS:
1. PREHEAT your air fryer to 200o C and lightly spritz the inside of the basket.


2. GRATE the potatoes using a box grater, then place the shreds in a large bowl of water.


3. STIR shredded potato and water mixture briefly. Allow to sit for 20 minutes and then drain.


4. LAYER 4 to 5 sheets of kitchen paper on a plate and place the shredded potato on top.


5. PRESS the shredded potatoes with additional kitchen paper, removing as much of the excess moisture as you can.


6. TRANSFER the shredded potato to a bowl and add the oil, salt and onion powder. Mix well.


7. FORM two rounds from the potato mixture using your hands and place both on the greased air fryer basket.


8. FLATTEN each hash brown slightly using a spatula or knife.


9. FRY for 15 to 20 minutes or until the hash browns turn golden and crispy.


10. SERVE immediately.
