DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1
PREHEAT your air fryer to 200 °C and lightly spritz the inside of the basket.STEP 2
GRATE the potatoes using a box grater, then place the shreds in a large bowl of water.STEP 3
STIR shredded potato and water mixture briefly. Allow to sit for 20 minutes and then drain.STEP 4
LAYER 4 to 5 sheets of kitchen paper on a plate and place the shredded potato on top.STEP 5
PRESS the shredded potatoes with additional kitchen paper, removing as much of the excess moisture as you can.STEP 6
TRANSFER the shredded potato to a bowl and add the oil, salt and onion powder. Mix well.STEP 7
FORM two rounds from the potato mixture using your hands and place both on the greased air fryer basket.STEP 8
FLATTEN each hash brown slightly using a spatula or knife.STEP 9
FRY for 15 to 20 minutes or until the hash browns turn golden and crispy.STEP 10
SERVE immediately.
